@@LythaWausW in Hamburg you get a really good one, it often times even better that the one in Thailand. The Restaurant is owned by a Thai Family and the cook authenticly.
Hi Guys! Thanks for making me crave BKK again ... maybe next time do a layover in HK? Visit Kowloon area and do some proper dim sum (Tim Ho Wan for instance), go crazy on some bao's and of course all the dai pai dongs! Some of the mall's also have nice food courts (look for Shanghi Po Po!) but it's on the backstreets where it all happens of course... grtz from Amsterdam!
Pad see ew is my ALL TIME favorite Thai dish! I order it everywhere I can and dream of those wide flat chewy noodles. On my last dating profile, I actually said the way to my heart is a hot fresh plate of pad see ew 🤣
Hello, I'm Thai, but now I work as a barber in Manhattan, New York. You asked where Thai food is cheap. Terminal 21, 5th floor, Asoke area, it's cheap, and street food restaurants around Yaowarat. (CHAINATOWN) Thai people like to eat rice with green curry or every curry. Thai people use a spoon to scoop up the curry one spoon at a time, add it to the white rice and eat it one bite at a time. Thai people don't put rice in curry. I wish you both happiness in traveling and eating in Thailand.
I know how happy you are when returning to Thailand, and if I remember correctly, this is where you two met as teachers. It all looks so tasty, makes one want to get on a plane. Thanks Deana and Phil.👍❤️🙏🏻
I love red curry with red bell peppers, long beans, bamboo shoots, Thai basil and lots of red chili peppers, of course. 🌶🌶🌶😍 Was this recorded recently, by the way? Please keep making these SEA videos, they are so informative and helpful!
Danke für den Tipp mit "The Family" und dem Cashew Chicken... Wäre nie auf die Idee gekommen das zu bestellen. War mein Lieblingsessen in Thailand und the Family das beste Restaurant
Normally Thai people put the curry or soup on the steam rice dish not put the steam rice into the curry or soup dish. This is the correct way to eat Thai food.
Thai food is amazing, I have to go try the authentic versions in Thailand one day. Pad See Eew is my favourite as well as masaman curry and Pad Thai. fabulous food.
i stayed in khaosan area both times i visited bkk but this time here at the end of may when im finished traveling the philippines ill be staying in chatuchak area.and i cant wait..i booked a sweet apt and believe it or not ive never been to the chatuchak market, hope it blows my sox off..ill be in bkk for 1 month due to some business i need to take care of there b4 going on to other locations in the land of smiles. 3 months im staying this time..oh yeah.. peace
my Fav of all of your dishes are Green curry with rice and minced pork basil pad thai on the street😍😍 I just came across this video and loving it. I am going to Bangkok in August and cant wait for the trip. Not going anywhere just Bangkok
Hi Deana & Phil, Thank your the video, I will be in bangkok in 3 weeks time. I will try my best to check out the recommended food spots in your video. Conor ( From Ireland)
in terms of curries I also love massaman and penang curry. Slightly prefer massaman because most of the time theres also potatoes in it. Besides curries I enjoy papaya salad, laarb or the classic Pad Krapao, cause you can get it everywhere in decent quality. Noch viel Spaß in Thailand, have fun!
Just came across you as we are going to park our van up and head to Thailand in November for a few months ,great videos very informative thank you very much , diolch yn fawr 🙏 safe travels love from wales 🏴
hi guys great video me and the wife are due in Bangkok on the 4th aug so only a few weeks I'm definitely gonna try your recommendations.we fly out from London on the 3rd cant wait.we are doing Thailand Vietnam Singapore and Malaysia...❤ we both love your videos and you both need to come to Birmingham uk and try out the great Indian food we have over here.....😊😊😊 ps dusseldorf is one of our favourite places to visit we just love Germany 😊
Yum nua/nuer was my introduction to real Thai food. 🤤 Spice, citrus, romaine, tomatoes, onions, etc, etc. It is definitely my favorite. However, I can become snobbish if it's made with iceberg lettuce. 😆 I also enjoy laarb. I first had it with pork, but have had it made of beef and even chicken. I've even had it with both beef AND tripe in it, giving it an extra crunch. ❤
Excellent video this week guys! Thanks 😊 A big question for you…. Re: Around the world travel tastings… ARE YOU COMING TO AUSTRALIA because you must!! Cob mum car
Oh NO.... Green curry was abt 4-5 out of 10 on Thai's spicy scale, please do try the red curry or the real gem of the southern Thaifood eg. Southern Thai Curry with Spareribs (แกงคั่วพริกกระดูกหมู) and you will open your 3rd eyes instantly, please belive me, you can't be real foodie if you never try this one. Ps.Most of the southern style Thai Curry and rice restaurante have it, try search for southern restaurant (ร้านอาหารใต้) Love your vlog, please keep it coming!!!
The number 1 menu for Thai people is "Stir-fried basil" (Pad Kaprao-ผัดกะเพรา) topped with eggs. ❤❤❤...intense Thai curry So I have to eat it with rice. And by spooning the curry over rice, it will taste better. (If you put rice into a bowl The taste will become bland and not delicious ka ^_^) I wish you happiness with Thai food❤❤❤🎉
I love Pad Kra Pao and Massaman curry too. It's odd that many Americans only know Pad Thai, because it's my least favorite Thai dish. I enjoyed sampling different dishes at the Pier 21 food court that I hadn't tried during my 2 months in Chiang Mai, and it was cheap enough that if I didn't like something, I just got something else to try.
I just came back from Bangkok. My auntie said the food stalls in Terminal 21 don’t pay rent, it’s a government incentive to keep street food alive. That’s why they can charge street food prices even though they’re in a shopping mall.
Stir- fried chicken with cashew nuts is one of the side dish that Thai people eat with steam rice. We eat side dish by putting it on the top of steam rice.
the difference from Korean soup manner is Thai always put the soup or curry on rice in the plate so we can enjoy many side dish menu with a plate of rice
The sandwiches looked really good but they look like they needed a little bit more ham. We get great Italian and French bread in the Northeast United States especially in Philadelphia and New York City and Boston❤
The noodle dish you showed on Khaosan road is not Phad Thai. It is just normal fried noodle. Phad Thai must be fried with tamarine sauce. Panaeng curry on top of Thai omelette and white rice tastes very good.
What is your favorite Thai dish? or if you've been to Bangkok, where is your go to cheap eat spot?

That green curry looked so good! That is my favorite!!
Som tam is absolute best, also green curry and laarb. Pier 21 looks great
Not sure if it's still there, behind Kao San road there was The Greenhouse - restaurant and backpackers hotel, run by Isreali guy with a great mix of Thai and Mediteranian food
I’m Thai and I’m taking notes from you guys 😅 One of the most informative food channels on the internet
you guys seem so friendly!
That Massaman curry is sooo good. I could eat that every day for the rest of my life!!
Yes massaman is one of my favorites too
I eat massaman on every visit to America but in Germany it's usually disappointing. It's like the curry they invented for Phil: )
@@LythaWausW in Hamburg you get a really good one, it often times even better that the one in Thailand. The Restaurant is owned by a Thai Family and the cook authenticly.
The food looks so good. My wife and I binge on you channel on Fridays. It’s become a tradition ❤
Khao man gai and laab moo ar probably my faves, i´ll be in bangkok next Friday for 3 weeks can´t wait.

At the very bottom of terminal 21 salad factory has the best kra pao anbd mushroom soup :) going backin sept
A Land Lots, Building for sale and for rent in Bangkok it was so expensive 😱
2:12 As a thai . . . That 20THB. For a small rice like this is to expensive/over price for me but. . Its depend on where you're eating at 😅 nice VDO
Agreed, if you eat outside of tourist area or any restaurant that you see locals do go, that tiny portion of rice would cost 5 Baht (or 10 at maximum)
Nice VDO Thanks❤❤❤❤

ต้องใส่ Stir ด้วยมั้ยครับ?
excellent
Lovely Dears. Nice...
Amazing
Beautiful ❤️
So good
Normally Thai people not use shop stick. We use spoon and fork.
We are not Chinese.
Wow yummy
I like this dish
Eating rice with curry You should scoop the rice and pour it over the rice and eat. We will not put rice in the curry. Because it may make you greasy.
How do you know you can eat the lettuce they always rinse lettuce with tapwater? That’s what got me when I was in Cuba is washed vegetables.
I like to take rice into my thai clear soup too
I'm always amazed how inexpensive meals are in Asia
How to eat Thai food: You should scoop curry over rice.
Great
